Basic Linux software is installed on the cluster for general use. For scientific computing, install your own tools in your home directory, or package them in a container.

Install Miniforge in your home directory to manage Python environments and packages without admin access.

Use, build, and run Apptainer containers, including images for Jupyter Lab and RStudio in OnDemand.

Semester-long Jupyter and RStudio containers for classrooms, managed through Container Manager.

Ready-made Apptainer recipes for Jupyter, FHI-aims, and computer vision applications.
Warning
Do not install software in /work. It is temporary storage, and files older than 75 days are purged automatically.
